I saw a number written on the wall
It said for a good time call
Dialin 2-8-1-7-6-6-8
Hey baby, I can't wait
I got your number off the bathroom wall

Pick up the phone and I start to think
I get excited when it starts to ring
What will she look like, what will she say
If it's good I'll call her every day
I got your number off the bathroom wall

Got your number off the bathroom wall
And I decided it was about time I made the call

Answered the phone in a sexy voice
I got excited and I had no choice
To put another dime in the telephone
Cause my number's alone at home
I got your number off the bathroom wall

Got your number off the bathroom wall
And I decided it was about time I made the call
Yeah, I got your number off the bathroom wall
Boy am I lucky that I didn't use the other stall

Yeah, AIC and Soundgarden were legit! Still, it was very sad for me and so many females when hair-band music fell by the way side. To this day, it's acceptable to like any genre, except for glam rock/hair-bands (whatever you want to call it). This music is hated and made fun of by so many. Oh well, there's no shame in my game. I went to the shows, bought the cassettes and watched them on MTV and loved every minute of it!

You have great taste in music! While I do agree with you, I can also understand why our parents rave about the music of the 60's. It's been said that bands like Sabbath (especially), Zeppelin, Hendrix, etc..paved the way for bands of the 80's and early 90's. No matter what, I have a strong appreciation for music of all eras, especially rock/metal of the 80's! \m/

the radio with them. That made me want to be a part of the scene. So these bands weren't along the lines of musical virtuoso's RUSH, BUT WHO FUCKING CARED ABOUT THAT????? Not me.

I gotta say there was heartbreak when the whole GRUNGE scene came along that spelled the end of the glam rock scene. I got so sick of Soundgarden, AIC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam.

I am so thankful to have lived during that time!!!!!!!!!!

Social Distortion. Back to the 80's Bon Jovi/Warrant/ Skid Row and not quite hair metal but badass nonetheless Queensryche/Anthrax/Metallica.

So many songs remind me of that time. I lived right through ground zero in Hollywood and had the greatest times of my life playing first guitar then bass in a few bands that never amounted to nothing, but damn it my hair rocked and the ladies loved me.

People trash the music, FUCK THEM ALL!! I love three chord rock and roll because I could play along on

They are trashing the entire genre' of some of the greatest songs and bands in rock and roll history by dismissing these bands as so called "Hair metal". I say screw them all!!! I am a Gen Xer and I heard my folks talk about the 60's being a magical time. Well to that I say, the 60's could NOT have had ANYTHING on the 80's and early 90's. Motley Crue/ POISON/Cinderella/Guns and Roses/LA Guns/Faster Pussycat/Dokken/ as well as the late 70's into the 80's with Bad Religion/Suicidal Tendencies
