@pals145 that seems to be the downside
they recommend not to reuse unlike can be done with hydroton and gravel, but if you can afford it, great product it seems, i know personally if the cost came down itd be all i ever use

You can use also paper towels.

The product is not designed for reuse. it is designed to be either recycled or burned cleanly in a biomass furnace after use.

Should I use a heating mat for micro greens? Or add a air stone for oxygen? Do you need to add any water after the pad is soaked? should i mist them daily? I tried using the pad in a easygreen sprouting machine and cut the pad into strips...didnt have much luck..then i tried it in the propagation tray and still had problems...

@Seedlessgrowers
I would not use any additional water than what is used in this video. a heating pad or element can be added if needed to reach optimum temperatures, the goal is to keep the environment nice and moist without being to warm or too cold. It sounds like you're dealing with too much moisture. Generally it's the first thing causing issues with seeds or micro green production.

My son and I own a small winery. We have tasting events where we eat or drink other folk's local products. You wouldn't believe what a robust salad of micro greens and hydroponic lettuce, and a glass of fruit wine can do for those events. I wasn't familiar with micro greens or hydroponics until a short time ago but it's fast becoming one of our hottest products. We learned most of what we needed to know from videos and folks just like this guy.
You can say "thanks" by visiting his web site.

Thanks you so much for the kind words. I wish your winery great success and if you ever have any hydroponic food production questions do not hesitate to ask. Keep on growing and in your case keep on drinking. Peace. M

Hey I really like this as it goes along with a micro green community concept that i'm working on here in Mission, BC. Where can I purchase the growing pads? Thanx.

We just opened up a great new distributor in BC; Future Harvest Development. Please feel free to contact Dan Parker at 250-505-6255 for a list of shops that carry STG.
