@Nigh1shad3 I know you're a dumb ass that know nothing about her own dogs. And btw, I own horses for about forty years so I do know about them. And a donkey won't run if off just because there's danger, it will look first to see what's going on and then decides if it has to run or not. Can't help it if you don't know that. And your age is at your profile.

@newguyproductions It is, but the owner is so blind she doesn't see it.

I love how she stands there so calmly. As soon as I pull out the harness (for I have two dogs lol) they jump around like chihuahuas in a Taco Bell. lol

Saartje, you have no idea how old I may or may not be, so you have nothing to stand upon with your pathetic claims. I watched the video, I don't see how you could have possibly watched it and thought it was cruel.
My dogs happily, for fun, pull over 6x their combined weight. I have other dogs that didn't even want to try, I couldn't make them, and they don't.
And obviously you know nothing about donkeys or horses either. Yeah. A donkey will stand there and let a puma maul it. *laughs*

@Nigh1shad3 And again I"m having a discussion with a kid. Lol. I've been handling dogs LONG before you were even born. And you're from the US, the country that STILL doesn't understand you shouldn't buy dog from puppy mills or pet shops (you DO know most dogs in the US come from there?). The country that kills millions of dogs a year. The country that thinks rodeo is fun for horses and bulls. Oh well, can't expect you to understand why a single dog shouldn't pull a cart.

@Nigh1shad3 Lol, that's not a submissive tail, geez what do you know about dogs anyway? And no, donkeys aren't flight animals. Donkeys stand still when there's danger, not run. And no, I don't think everyone is an abuser, I think someone who puts ONE dog in front of a cart to pull a grown up is an abuser. That's why we have a law against that, in most parts of Europe too, so I"m not the only one thinking that. You start thinking. If you have a brain that is.
where did you guys get the harness and the cart? Im trying to teach my shepherd husky to do the same thing. Very neat job!! I love it!

I made the harness and cart. The harness is hand-stitched.

Oh cool! So do those buckles at the front of the shafts act like hold backs do on a regular horse harness? Or do you have holdbacks at all? That looks like such a neat idea, I think I wanna try it with my German Shepherd, hehe!

Yes I guess they work like hold-backs.

Thanks! I used to do a lot with horses. When I trained my collie I started with a halter. However he din't like it and it didn't work well. I then started using a driving collar (a normal collar with two D rings), however he didn't seem to even notice my signals with that collar. Finally it occured to me that with "hard-mouthed" horses you use stronger bits; so why not do the same with dogs? The slip collars have worked great for me. Soon I will be getting a chalo sulky. I can't wait!
