yea, im only three months in and just from tutorials alone i have been able to master moves that took one of my friends much longer to get down. i dont know if i just catch on fast, but ive basically been able to just scroll down all of nathanieleverist's and meenik's videos and learn them one by one. the internet is like having a personal teacher-in-a-box. maybe il post a video after ive been doing this for like 4 or 5 months so i can get some feedback.

In fairness, we've got a lot more resources at our disposal, the poi community is ever growing, and so are the learning resources such as tutorials. There is still a bit of a gap which I'm trying to fill with my tutorials, but all the same, there are moves available to us that weren't even around previously, and new moves are popping up fairly frequently still. I'm a big fan of your videos by the way.

when you do the wrap whit fire, do you use any kind of proteccion??

Not really, just make sure you're not wearing any synthetic clothing, so natural fibres like wool or cotton are good. Also, if the clothing is too thin, the heated metal can burn your skin through the cloth, so make sure you wear something nice and thick for added protection.

My God man, how much time did you practice everyday for those initial nine months to be that good that quickly?

Um, it varies, but I'd estimate at least 3+ hours a day. It may sound like a lot, but to me, practicing poi isn't a chore, unlike other things I've had to practice throughout life. Even the mundane stuff, like learning new moves/combos is fun and indescribably satisfying once you start making progress.
