A section (two aircraft) of Marine Corps Huey UH-1Y Yankees of HMLA-367 "Scarface" launch off of an expeditionary airfield in southern Afghanistan on a convoy escort / close air support mission. The Yankee is the latest iteration of the "Huey" UH-1, and Scarface is the first squadron to deploy them in combat, and the first time the platform has been used in Afghanistan. Also scenes of one of Scarface's AH-1W Super Cobras. The video shows prep, including arming the weapons (note the pilot with her hands held during arming), launch, forming up, and flying into the desert in formation. Footage by Cpl Sam Nasso as photographer Ed Darack shoots still shots.

Get'm! thinking about coming back in to become a crew chief for one of them, big difference between those and my primary mos of 1833, Amphibious Assualt Crewmen. Always loved the uh1 and ah1 for watching our back over moble at Camp Fallujah
