Hello - please pardon that my response is not in German
Two well known Furtwangler collectors, Ernest Lumpe (Germany) and Mark Kluge (USA), came to the same conclusion independently several years ago.
This is not the only identification error related this recording. An early LP issue on the Royale label (record No. 1401) was issued with the performers noted as Karl List & the Berlin Symphony

This is a lovely recording. To me it seems a bit slower than it is meant to be, but I almost prefer it this way.

This is a great piece, playing the 2nd violin in this one. This video is like a half-tune higher than normal imo... I know cus I tried practicing to it.
:D thanks for putting it up tho

However, for those who are interested, there is a recording made by Furt with the orchestra of Teatro Colòn, Buenos Aires.

I totally agree, It is awesome
-
this is one of the most beautiful movements ever composed by Haydn in my opinion
Hello sinuc -
Thank you for the video, but this is not Furtwangler and the BPO. Though attributed to him and reissued on several labels (including an 'official' DG release), the performance is actually Alfons Dressel & the Munich Radio Orchestra.
No criticism is intended. Just a FYI.
