I lived and taught in Kwangju in 1997 and used to do the same thing - walk through downtown with my video camera and explore. It's so great to see this -- and wow, downtown has really changed. Back then there were no internet cafes, no western restaurants, etc. The Burger King opened that year. Thanks for uploading.
ps, I highly recommend getting a scooter while you're there. It raises the experience to a whole new level.
