I do think the state of the climate is being used politically for gains, at both sides. The carbon trade may be a fraud. But after careful examination of the science I can honestly say that we are really messing with our planet, we are witnessing geological changes happen in a lifetime. If you go to Pat Michael's site you can verify that he misrepresents current scientific understing. He is getting money from oil industry to delay action. We are fucked double-time (political+climate).

If 4 out of 10 people don't trust scientists, then 6 OUT OF 10 DO! That's a majority. I do agree that it is interesting that the US is selling climate change like this. But come on...this lady brought on someone from the Cato institute and asked him softball questions. Why not at least bring on someone from the other side for a nice debate?

Climate change isn't just temperature. What we are seeing is exactly what scientists predicted, which is not a single degree raised. But soon, it may start rising. As China (who has now passed our energy usage) grows and grows, we will see a problem out of our reach to fix.

I love how they hedge their bets by saying "climate change" now instead of "global warming." Like the climate has ever not changed. What's with the twisting of language, and the meaning of words?
