  • If you cut carbs completely from your diet and stock up on protien would that help lose fat faster? Along with daily workouts of course

  • @DudeGuyShow No. Carbs and protein both have 4 calories per gram. SO increasing one and raising the other cancel each other out. A lower calorie balanced diets will always be the best.

  • Too much protein is hard on the liver. You have to be balanced. Why are we always looking for the quick fix. Amazing.

  • i used to walk 5km a day and then sit on my ass for 10 hours playing games eating junk and i lost 15 kilos in 1 year..for siting on ASS

  • Well, too much sugar does raise insulin levels, which can make it much easier to get fat. However, everything in moderation in my opinion.

  • Refined sugar should be limited in your diet though.

  • @DudeGuyShow you need carbs to burn fat properly buddy its part of something called the krebs cycle. if you have vegetable carbs which dont have an insulin response it is a lot better but you would need a insulin triggering carb meal probs every couple of days to replenish glycogen stores. carbs and protein have 4 calories a gram each...But!......20% of a protein sources calories are burnt up just in digestion and carbs only 5% so ideally protein is raised and carbohydrate reduced.

  • i think what they may mean when they say "i'm cutting out sugar" is that they're reducing or eliminating the amount of processed, simple sugars in their diets, therefore stabilizing their blood glucose levels and reducing the amount that is stored in their fat cells... i think... but as you're saying, you still need to have your muscles utilize the sugars that are present in order to insure that storage doesn't occur... right? haha.

  • if I just walked an extra 4 miles a day & nothing else should I be able to lose body fat all over? & is it true that muscle weighs more than Fat? & if so how do I chart the correct loss of body fat taking into account the muscle volume gained by the extra exercise ? (in my case the walking)
