If youre reading this recap, you might as well just stop now and go check out the video and picsthis was the best BFF qualifier of the 3 years so far! They were fun jam sessions on 3 different parts of Tempe Skatepark, which is easily one of the best parks in the country. Too many guys killed it to just spotlight the top 3, so lets give some shout outs to Isaiah Johnson, Andrew Homoki, Donovan Nearing, Doug Valdez, Alex Rivera, Quinton Hall, Joey Miller, and the rest of guys.
Kody Servold took third with kicky 5-0, noseblunt, fs blunt to regs and fakie down the first session, big flip and inward heel on the euro and bs lip the rail, 180 ss 50 down the hubba and a bs 360 down the big 9 stair. Aaron Jaws Homoki just getting back from an IPath tour, was second, just as he was two years ago. Jaws had kicky 50, lip, bs tail and noseblunt in the first sesh, followed by a tre, fs flip, fs 360, nollie heel, bigflip and a big kickflip to flat on the euro! Then he had smith, nosegrind, noseblunt, and kickflip front board down the final carcass toss.
Nick Fiorini stood out the most with nollie krooks, lip, bs lip, ss 50, ss tail, nollie noseslide, nollie krook, and nollie nosegrind in the first sesh. He did a tre, nollie bs heel, and nollie 360 heel up the euro and fs feeble, nollie 50, nollie fs board, nollie fs feebs, nollie flip and a hardflip down the last session to walk away with prizes including a $500 Zumiez gift card and a trip to the BFF Finals, repping AZ!
