From http://www.freedommag.org : John Sweeney, his pit-bull of choice, lacks the dignity and tact required for a story that would, at least on its surface, address the activities and practices of a religion. As Sweeney himself explains, his tactics have nothing to do with intelligent reporting: "There are three rules in journalism. First, find a crocodile. Two, poke it in the eye with a stick. Three, stand back and report what happens next." Sweeney teamed up with his aptly named producer, Sarah Mole, who had previously done Sweeney's bidding as an undercover "mole" in a religious organisation for an earlier "Sweeney Investigates" programme. Together, they set about putting together a programme that follows the classic pattern of lazy journalists. In this clip you see how Sweeney's "poking the stick" works.

Sicentologist's came out with a repsonse to the accusation that this is edited propagnada it reads "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION. YOU WERE NOT THERE WHEN THE CAMERA STOP FILMING. YOU CANNOT COMMENT ON WhAT OCCURED AFTERWARDS. do you understand... do you under... I AM SCREAMING AGAIN WHILE ANNUCIATING VERY CLEARLY SO THAT YOU WILL SHUT UP AND LET ME MAKE MY POINT. I AM APPEARING TO BE ANGRY WHEN IN FACT I AM JUST TRYING TO SHUT YOU DOWN."
Which 'new' documentary. Here's another example of Scientology spin doctoring - This "new documentary" you speak of - Do you mean the one written, funded and produced by The Church Of Scientology. And you offer this as an unbiased alternative to the BBC documentary. This crap won't wash in the U.K - America is obsessed with quick fix answers, youth, mortality and control. Scientology is a CULT. And a pretty creepy one if you watch the BBC documentary.
Typical Scientology trying to look at the story from one side. I'm sure if you showed the rest of the programme most people would agree they'd have lost it much earlier - I certainly couldn't deal with the sanctimonious and arrogant bully Tommy for more than 5 minutes.
