To help us find out what is in ObamaCare, Sally Pipes, President and CEO of the Pacific Research Institute, read the greater than 2,000 pages of the legislation passed in March. She published the findings in her new book, The Truth About ObamaCare.

At the National Doctors Tea Party on Aug, 7, 2010, Ms. Pipes discusses her book as well as true free-market solutions that would re-empower patients to make their own health care decisions.

She isn't nuts, she's enlightened. The media wants you to believe that medical care in the US is a lot more than what it really is. Hospitals create huge medical bills becuase they only get paid a percentage of it by insurance payers. $50,000 for a knee replacement in the USA is a myth. Medicare only pays docs about 1/5 of that, and if you are paying yourself, you'll pay about about the same as what Medicare pays in many cases.

This woman is completely nuts. Seniors get medical care, we don't just send them out in the wilderness to die as this woman is inferring. Is she really serious when she says that the American system is better that the Canadian system. The truth is there are problems with both systems but one thing that dosen't happen in Canada is people going broke just to pay for medical care.

In Canada the major problem is the government holds back on medical costs yet will spend 1 billion on protection for the G20 which was super over kill considering no one really cared there that was going on, i guess they expected the entire population to turn on the G20 lol

Its true for some people the waiting times a huge, for me its not, but the real issue is that doctors need to learn about non-drug methods, it would save the Canadian government a lot of money!
