For this device I only used one chip: the 4093 NAND gate with built in schmitt triggers (there's four gates in one chip!) I used two gates as oscillators and combined thier signal with the next nand gate, you could use one to gate the other but you get some more interesting effects this way. Then the combined signal from the third nand gate, gates the last one which was set up as an oscillator too.

Long story short: lots of fun weird sounds!

(the same circuit was in my "lunetta in the lab" video, which was just a test for sound quality and lighting)
