Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3): One of the most dangerous rat poisons out there is a Vitamin D3-based rodenticide. This type basically increases calcium blood levels so high that it causes a secondary kidney failure. With this type of rat poison, only a tiny amount needs to be ingested before it causes a problem, and long-term, expensive treatment is usually necessary. This is the type to avoid in your garage, as it has no antidote!

This is why I NEVER use sun block! From what I've seen, it's the people who USE sunblock who get skin cancer!

I know you are commenting on your personal knowledge from your personal experiences but I know fair skinned people that have gotten skin cancer and they do not use sun block. I'm blue eyed and light hair and have skin spots that I have burned off from time to time. I'd agree that putting sun bloc on isn't something that humans should be doing. Our bodies are designed to tell us when we should seek shade, it's called sunburn.

yeah of course, there's a limit to how much a single person can probably take. but take blacks... their pigmentation is black precisely for the fact that their ancestors were at the equator, and they can take it. so telling EVERYONE that they can only be in the sun for so long is a little over the top. every individual is different... the government cannot tell you what's best for you. that's the premise here.

Point taken, thanks for your thoughtful response.
Absolutely correct on the issue of personal freedom.

You're right, I'm commenting on personal knowledge, not all the knowledge there is. I've known a couple of people who developed skin cancer and it was because they didn't heed the warnings of their own bodies. I've never really used sunblock (maybe once or twice) and ended up burning worse than if I hadn't. I'm not really a "sun worshipper" (except on the rare vacation) but I don't avoid it by any means! If people would listen to their bodies, they would tell us all we need to know.
