Greetings, Tubers! I'm back with my second video, second Youtube Poop and second Sparta Remix, not to mention THE second KQ6 Poop!
This time, I changed the nature of the video. Alexander walks into the book shop. "Alexander opens the bargain book and reads--"
He is shocked to find the utter boredom that follows, so much so that he decides to SOLVE the problem for himself, only to find he is stumped. Will Alexander figure it out? Or will he become so aggravated he does something REALLY crazy? Remember this is the land of the Green Isles, and anything can happen!
It's kind of interesting. The audio was created entirely with freeware programs that allow for commercial use. (The video was created with Ulead Videostudio 11 Plus) I recommend the programs to anyone:
NCH Swift Sound's Wavepad, and Hammerhead Rhythm Station.
DISCLAIMER: All characters and sounds from King's Quest IV are copyright 1992-93 Sierra On-Line Systems, inc. and Roberta Williams. The "Sparta Remix" music was created by keatonkeaton999.
UPDATE (2/27/08): After receiving 2 good comments on "Old Lamps" and a 5-star rating on both videos, I have decided to make the very first DIY Sparta Remix tutorial as my 3rd (and possibly 4th) video! It uses only Hammerhead, Wavepad and Windows Movie Maker (XP SP2 version), and requires a very small amount of capacity on your hard drive (it is possible to fit all files on a USB drive)! It also corresponds with my 3rd and last KQ6 Sparta Remix, "He Got a Magic Map!" This remix, by the way, will have two versions: one based off the tutorial for reference, and the other using Ulead 11 again for the video. Stay tuned; I am very close to finishing Part 1!

I'll take a guess and say it was Jezzball, which was part of the Microsoft Entertainment Pack. It works on Windows because it was designed for Windows.
About KQ6, that only works on XP if you use DOSbox. The King's Quest Collection (2006 version) comes with the first 7 of them, 6 of which use DOSbox (KQ1 uses the enhanced version, KQ6 uses the low-res version, and KQ7 uses Windows) but don't expect to get it for free.

I used Wavepad and Hammerhead Rhythm Station for audio (freeware) , and Ulead Videostudio 11 Plus for video (not free). I also used Jasc (now Corel) Paint Shop Pro 7 for extra images (also not free). My upcoming tutorial will explain how to do the free stuff. I'm sure you can use other leading video programs such as Sony Vegas or Pinnacle Studio for the video.
