Having an overachiever on your team may feel like a blessing -- they work twice as hard as others, are very goal oriented, and highly organized. But overachievers can often be near impossible to manage - ultimately eroding organizational performance and undermining team morale. Executive Coach and Consultant, Caty Everett, explains how to spot an overachiever and how to better manage them.

  • This is what happens when workplaces become 'women only' environments - bitching about someone putting in extra because they aren't 'team players'.

  • A good overachiever *can* do it better than everyone else. There are some situations where the team approach is inefficient. Sometimes getting the job done right is more important than making sure everyone's ego is cared for. It's interesting to watch Katie's facial expressions as she describes her disdain for the overachiever.

  • WHAT ARE WITH ALL THESE LONG COMMERCIALS ARRG xD

  • I think she has some good points. Overachievers can be very difficult to work with. They do all the work and nothing is ever good enough for them. We should strive to be high achievers not overachievers.

  • Good video, unfortunatly, we have these in every work place

  • XD lol! I don't get it, whats wrong with having ambition? Who doesn't want to be the best? It's not necessarily about getting "rewards" or whatever this bitch thinks she knows what she talking about. If shes suffering because of it, then fine please feel free to fuck off, but people have goals and anyone has the right to achieve it in their own way. If shes too lazy to actually work hard and labels other people who actually does then I really hope she gets killed, either run over or shot -.-

  • Overachievers are better off as entrepreneurs. Their abilty to assimilate vast amounts of information and work on several things at a time are qualities valued at start-ups and project management companies. Even LBO companies if they're so financially inclined. But beware OAs, cause you need to concentrate on specifics rather than being a generalist, as many disciplines are exact sciences and requires exact understanding and precision.

  • I'm such an overachiever.

Check out My other channel "OverachieversProd"

What was supposed to be a short project turned into an epic journey.

    Just like last year...

  • thats why over achievers should leave their crappy firm and join company with other overachievers.

  • You are young. You will grow up, and you will understand things that you do not now.

  • Nonsense. Overachievers are rigid and prone to self-destruction. Evolution favors adaptability, not "strength" or "achievement." I think you are jealous, and insecure. No one who is truly confident and competent ever thinks that he or she is "better" than others. Don't alienate others, that is nothing to be proud of.
