  • There are two extremes that must be avoided in meditation: trance(laxity, letargy),and excitation.Laxity and therefore trance is a derivative of delusion, while excitation is a derivative of compulsive desire. The middle path is concise and vivid awareness, which can be achieved with introspection.Awareness and introspection are derivative of intelligence. This is buddhist psychology.Spacing out or becoming laxy or being in trance is what buddhism is not.The bowls are good, though.Overcome trance!

  • I got a hand-beaten singing bowl for Christmas (tuned to C#) - if you follow the instructions to the letter, a very beautiful sound indeed that resonates and permeates and you can feel it through the body! I can now see why the reason this video was made

  • beautiful, uplifting, calming; delightful. Reminds the heart of our home for me are but exiles here. We are stardust, the dust of long dead stars; we long for our home beyond the stars, and our hearts long; for a few precious minutes, my heart was at heart. Thank you

  • Beautiful.

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!!! Great Dharani Mantra with Tibetan Singing Bowl

  • Bell-alistic!

  • Tibetans are practical people. Imagine being able to eat out of your guitar!

  • beautiful, thank you :)

  • thank you for this :)

  • That is good advice. But I must say though that although you say trance should be avoided, I do find it useful to calm down and get to bed easier. I think Singing bowls are by far the easiest way to get in to trance.
