Great video! Im expecting a lipo battery soon from E-Bay that I will need to solder on a JST connector which typically uses 20GA wiring.This new battery is a 1200mAh 11.1v 3S and the wiring may be a little thicker.If I solder a JST connector with 20GA wiring to thicker battery leads,,,,,,will it still work?

@AirsoftR3L0ADed ...in the US maybe, everywhere else it's sol-der.As George Bernard Shaw said 'England and America are two countries separated by a common language. '
But he was Irish so what would he know - I suppose we're both right but I reckon I'm more right than you! Still a good video though

@AdventureIQ1995 ....the first of many you also started?

@puffmonster689 - you're nearly right but you missed off the -ly off stupid.

@bigrasshopper thats how you pronounce it stupid.

@bigrasshopper Soder is the correct pronunciation young grasshopper.
-
not soldering to the battery - you're soldering to a piece of WIRE !!!!!!!
-
Not mentioned, but you always heat the metal you're soldering to melt the solder - you don't heat the solder itself. You rely on the heat of the object (wire, what-have-you...) to melt the easily melted solder to get a better connection.

@bigrasshopper why do other countries think we care how we show ourselves?

@bigrasshopper We won the war........
Why can't the Americans speak properly..the word is SOL-DER not soder.....

Thank you so much for this video. I completely blew up an 8.4volt 2800 mAh battery by cutting both contacts at the same time. This helped my confidence to solder some deans on.
