On one of the last legs of our road trip, traveling from Birmingham to Atlanta, we heard on NPR that Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital on. Soon after it was confirmed that he had died. What a moment we shared in our car. As you can imagine, the power of radio served us well. Heres what I captured in chronological order as I flipped between channels.

continuing, the next day I woke up and thought that it was a dream but then I turned on the tv again and it said "Tribute to Michael Jackson" on the screen. so I started to tear up a little bit,but then I said to myself "stay strong for MJ." for the last 5 days or so I barely ate,spoke, or slept.It was just very hard to accept the fact that he was gone and I was a fan of his work. but then I realized that I shouldn't mourn his death,but to celebrate his life and accomplishments on Earth.

I was at home because I didn't feel like going to summer camp,and it was just like an ordinary summer day.My mom comes home at like 4:00,speaking on the phone with her first cousin( my 2nd cousin) and runs to the tv so I asked my mom "What was wrong?" she screamed "MJ died!"it said Michael Jackson died from cardiac arrest at age 50 on CNN. I thought it was some kind of joke or something. but then hours later, I knew that he was really gone so I cried for a moment,and it's VERY rare when I cry.

@ushrark why dont you fuck your mom, atleast have good feelings for him! he died when he was trying to help people, he really helped children and worked REALLY HARD with music since he was young like maybe 8 yrs old. If you dont like his music then make your own! you will see how many bad fans and good fans you have. but u will still have more bad fans, then at that time u will remember when you posted this comment
