Improv - The Sorrowful Sparrow

The song of a bird who weeps at the world of it's past life.

The Sorrowful Sparrow
Like a phoenix, the sparrow arose from the ashes.
While flying above the world with it's infant wings,
It sees the burdens of the world below.
The beautiful careless bliss of Heaven,
Interrupted by the smoke of the Earth's flames.
The bird remembers being human in past life,
And realizes the pains and sorrows he had created.
It was his own anger and hate which caused his death.
A fire which engulfed him, and consumed him.
Though he had passed and became a bird,
The fire below him spread, and took all he knew.
His divine wings were his punishment.
All he could do was fly and watch.
He swore to change the destinies of the innocent,
So he dove straight into the fire.
The wind lifted up the tears from his eyes,
And put out the flames.
At last peace was restored in the land.
The sparrow is now no longer sorrowful,
And went back to the heavens, to watch over the world.
