ESPN self-proclaimed Worldwide Leader in Sports has pulled their "Dunk Of The Night Kobe On LeBron" video, an embarrassing video of LeBron James getting dunked on by Kobe Bryant. Awaiting official word from ESPN regarding the decision to pull the video.

Removing the video reveals a lack of journalistic integrity on their part.

ESPN has a nightly series called "Dunk of the Night" on their website, and every night, the night's top dunker is immortalized on the video. Example video here: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6138034&categoryid=2459788

Unfortunately for Kobe, he dunked on LeBron, so his video only lasted on the website for two days before being removed. Original screenshot of cached page: http://oi53.tinypic.com/fu1js9.jpg (Notice almost 2,000 people shared this video on facebook, strange that a website would pull such a popular and viral video.)

This is the latest effort by ESPN to cover-up an embarrassing piece on LeBron. This past summer writer Arash Markazi published this unflattering piece based on LeBron's antics at a Las Vegas club: https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0BzRY0yltRz9ANzc5OWEyN2YtZjM2Yy00NmFjLWE4...

Deadspin noted that ESPN's official reason for the cover-up was the reporter did not properly disclose his intention of writing a story, but in doing so this did not recant any of the facts written in the original article: http://deadspin.com/#!5599857/espn-killed-that-lebron-story-because-reporter-...

Finally, a big story from a few years ago in regards to Nike confiscating a tape of LeBron getting dunked on at his own basketball camp:

  • If you try to block the shot, by definition you got dunked on!

  • how have i not seen this til now this is fuckin awesome

  • I think it was the 2008 playoffs maybe where LeBron had a thunder dunk on KG and the place went nuts! Its been all over ESPN and youtube. Well as a Boston fan I was elated when just a few nights later I saw KG give Lebron a facial. It was one of the best one-on-one dunks I have ever seen, or atleast I thought it was, until I could not find video of this dunk anywhere on the internet. I am glad Im not the only one seeing this crap

  • everyone who plays ball knows, lebron was trying to block kobes shot! he just didnt make the play! therefore he got his head dunked on!!!!! also he looked up as if he thought he hit the ball into the crowd!!!! to bad labitch!!!!! james!!!!! now run tell that!!!!

  • And he clapped his ass after that lol :)

  • Lebron didn't exactly get dunked ON ....i agree....but he was in the way. He basically screwed himself by trying to embarrass Kobe. He got greedy and the end result of that is a video saying he got dunked on. GO KOBE.

  • Lebron had 1 hour air time on tv for his trade plus another couple hours for commercials about it and not counting all the other shit loads of commercials , he gets dunked on by a college kid, and it gets removed, they even made a cartoon about him...No hes not a media hype at all.

  • That was tight! Kobe was looking at Lebron the whole way to the paint like, "I dare you!". I think Lebron slowed down.

  • @ilikedthesoup that's it , he tried to block it that's why he got dunked on :PP

  • why do people say he got dunked on. lebron was behing him and he still tiped the ball. lebron didnt get dunked on he just missed a block
