  • At the time the villagers and local residents go along together just fine as far as I was aware. They were evicted and the land property development has gone ahead. Already the Eco Village is just dusty history.

  • They're going about this backwards. It's a no brainer that some people are going to complain about the visual and health concerns, even though the lot's they choose are already run down and over grown with weeds. There are movements here in the states like in Detroit, where people acquired legal access to city properties and some funding to clean up and develop lots like this for community farms, business and housing. Now it's catching on all over, even here in St. Louis. I wish u better luck.

  • What was the effect of this Eco Village on the surrounding community? I'm also wondering whether there's any politics involved in this experience.
