UntamedScience.com presents a summary of the bizarre and beautiful animal life found in the deep sea off the north coast of Roatan, Honduras, as explored by Karl Stanley in his homemade submarine Idabel.

Located on the Caribbean beach of Half Moon Bay in West End, Roatan, Honduras, Idabel is the deepest diving tourist submarine in the world, reaching depths down to 2500ft/760m. Amazingly, captain Karl Stanley built the entire vehicle himself without any formal training in submarine construction. Let's go diving!
