Video of a beautiful rope tornado from Lane County, KS on May 23, 2008, shot by TornadoVideos.net storm chasers. This would have been the perfect tornado to deploy our camera probe, but the road network prevented us from getting close. Another TornadoVideos.net live streaming team shot this tornado just 1/2 mile to its west.

  • Wow! This is incredible tornado, and no damages

  • how come some tornados bend like that?

  • start learning weather it will not matter how fancy your equipment is, if you have no instinct or knowledge about weather chasing will be a very frustrating thing. Going out with someone that knows what they are doing is best, if that's not an option read and watch as much content on storms as you can, I chase in Ontario with no laptop just my car and a camera, I'm just as successful as other guys doing it in my area with all the fancy equipment

  • Start off with loads of money, plenty of electrical equipment (laptops and other equipment that can tell you where to chase while you are on the road, away from home). Also you might want to have some money to slightly modify your car so it can handle all the extra electrical equipment.

If you are only going to chase it's mostly about money for gas, laptops and camera's. When you also want to collect data save a lot for probes and other measure instruments.

  • The sound cuts are from editing out swear words.

  • I saw this on the show! Its so pretty! And it didnt hit anything which made it even better. I think this is my favorite kind of tornado!

  • i want to do this after i graduate next year (chase and film tornados) but idk how to go about it... maybe someone could post a reply or a video about how to start storm chasing and what u need to do it?? thatd help me out. keep in mind, i know NOTHING about how to do it except to drive there and film it lol

  • I not an expert.

I think it means it looks really great in front of the camera.
