http://www.bigslider.com Move heavy potted plants, soil and mulch bags, armoires and file cabinets, chain barrels and car engines, A/C and water heaters. Good for moving furniture and boxes into your new home or dorm room! Heavy bags of leaves can be stacked and dragged in one operation.

  • Could it handle a 265 lb. fireproof file cabinet?

  • Yes, it would work. We have tested BigSlider™ utility mover to destruction, and the handle pulls out at 400 lbs pull force...which can't be achieved without a motor. The pull requirement for your cabinet depends on your floor. The pull for 265 lb cabinet would be about 88 lbs on commercial carpet down to about 55 lbs on tile or other slick flooring.

  • From a standing position tilt the armoire about 1/16 inch by pushing on it, then shove BigSlider underneath with your foot. Repeat until you have enough on the sheet to skid into position. Throw rope around the base of the armoire, bring it through the hand hole, tie a knot at palm level and slide. If the armoire is too close to the wall to tilt it 1/16 inch, check out "Lift Buddy" lever. Finally, if the armoire is too heavy for you or if it is extremely top-heavy, I recommend a second person.

  • I still have to lift the entertainment center onto the Big Slider, so there is "lifting". How do I get my heavy armoire onto the Big Slider??

  • If you can tilt your armoire about 1/16 inch, you can push BigSlider under it and move it! Thanks for the comment, Jeri

  • how much how much how much??

  • I bought a new 50" plasma and needed to move it in and my old projection tv to another room. I practically did it all by myself without breaking my back or the tvs. Awesome.
