Change: A Battle Story Episode Ten

We played for a really long time. Demi let me get out of my wheelchair for a while so i could play easier. "Vrrrrrrooooooom." he made noises like we were riding in a boat really fast, then Frankie walked in. "Tank! Come over here." i put on my low voice "Captain, we need to pull over." "Errrrrrrrr! We have reached a docking port, mam." I laughed and Frankie came over. "Do you wanna play Tank?" he nodded. "Sure." He looked weirdly at Keedan for a couple of seconds and then looked back to me, he looked kind of mad when he saw Keedan looking at me, maybe he thought that Keedan thought i looked funny, but i don't know. "Vrrrrrrooooooom!" We started to drive again "Keedan Sweetie! It's time to leave Say bye to your friends." "Okay mommy! Bye Addie, Bye Frankie!" He hugged us "You can come to my room if you want later!" i yelled after him, he gave me the thumbs up and left with his mom. "What's wrong Frankie?" i went over and sat by him. "Do you love him? Do you still love me?" Do i love him? What kind of question is that?! "Of course i don't like him! He's one of my friends now, just a friend. I still love you Tank, i always have and i always will, you're my boyfriend, we HAVE to stay together." "Okay." he said and his voice was alot happier, he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. "Frankie! Addie! We have to get back to the room, Addie's lunch is coming and she has to fill out a menu just in case she stays for a long time." Demi came over and picked me up then she put me in my wheelchair. "Can I push it?" I heard Frankie ask, I started getting really tired. Tank was pushing me and he went really wobbly and almost ran me into a wall once, but i didn't say anything cause i love him and you can't say anything mean to someone you loved, can you? When we got up to the room Nurse Lydia put my kool-aid medicine back on the stand and gave me a menu. For breakfast on Monday Wednesday and Friday i'm going to have French toasts and sausage and on Tues and Thursday i'm going to have cold cereal, but who would have warm cereal? That's gross. And then for lunch Monday Wednesday and Thursday i'm going to have salad just like mommy used to have and on Tuesday and Friday i'm going to have grilled cheese with tomato soup like daddy. Then for dinner i'm going to have chicken nuggets on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And then Tuesday and Friday Taylor said she could bring me something if i wanted. I started eating macaroni, because that's what i ordered today but the medicine is making me not hungry so i let Tank eat the rest of it and i fell asleep. When i woke up everybody was sleeping but i heard Demi and Joe yelling at each other, but quietly, in the bathroom, i closed my eyes and listened. "What did you do to her?" i heard Demi ask, "What did she say i did to her?" "She wouldn't tell me anything! No little kid does that ever! She likes you, she looks up to you. what the hell did you do to her?!" "It doesn't matter i was mad and didn't think straight so it doesn't matter." "It does matter! Did you even bother to look at her? Did you see the way she looked after you did or said whatever you did? Did you even care? Do you care now?" She was crying. "No, i didn't look at her... and i didn't care., but i do now." "What was it even about, Joe? What did you say? She's a strong little girl, you obviously said something that upset her... alot." "I snapped at her. She asked me what was wrong because i was sulking like a little baby. And i told her that everybody else got to go down to the cafe and i was stuck there watching her." I heard her hit him and she walked back into the room and sat next to me. I layed still for a long time and then pretended to be waking up just then. "Hey sweetie." She said and kissed my forehead. "How're you feeling?" "Good." i said, kinda lying. Joe finally came out of the bathroom rubbing his face and saw me and came over. He sat down and tried to look into my eyes he started apologizing while i stared at the wall. I wondered whether or not Andrea and Scott would visit me and if i'd ever see mommy and daddy again. And then i thought about what Taylor would bring me when i got to choose what i wanted and if i'd be out in time to go to the next concert. And then what their pizza would taste like i wonder if it'd be all ru- someone tapped on my shoulder and i looked over to see Joe. "Apology accepted?" i shook my head and rolled over on my side, even though it hurt a little.
