LOL!!! JL Audio ain't the best subs for Sound Quality. Don't get caught in the hype. If you want a good sounding sub, well it depends on your enclosure, amp, install etc. Try look at Kicker, they used Square subs and won the SQ competition long time ago. That's a prime example, of how a non SQ sub can sound good at the same time. Also if I had a choice in good sounding subs, I would look into Critical Mass UL-12, FI Q, TC Sounds, Image Dynamix IDMAX, RE SE etc. many brands

@thxsubwoofers LOL MY ASS!!!! Thats your opinion. I had two 12 L7 on a memphis MCD 1100 watts rms and they did sound good but when I got two w6 on a JL 1000 I knew instantly which subs were "THE SHIT" and which sub at that point "Were NOT". (hint, hint) THE SQUARE SUBS ARE NOT BUDDY!

@HCVETERAN Image dynamic IDMAX hit harder and sound way better for sound Quality. U want to hit hard then JL audio Go with Re Audio, Digital Design 9512, SMD Woofers Yea that put's jl audio to sleep. Thats why they don't even compete in db drag b/c they can't hold up

@HCVETERAN JL is good sound quality, but for the price you could get so much more out of something else and still get perty much the same quality, and louder. i have one 10 inch FI Q in a ported box at 30hz on 1000rms in trunk and hit a 138db with one ten. and there was a guy there with two 12 inch w6's and about 800rms on them and he only hit a 137 something. and i still have just as good sound quality, JL is over ratted

@HCVETERAN lol. Get a real sub, like one of these. JL audio is just for the sale. They're subs are clear, but when your only hitting 120db, it better be clear, cuz it aint loud.

Go look up some of the subs that thxsubwoofers already recommended if you want some great SQ, Critical mass, tc sounds, and image dynamics are some of the best sounding subwoofers ever made.
