@82CARVER In the '70s in Cleveland, at McDonald's, my pay was 90 cents per hour and the city bus charged 55 cents for one ride, no transfers. This being said, I moved to NYC where I got rent stabilized apartments, often sharing them. I ended up expatriating in '94. So much for the American dream. I needed healthcare.

Thelma was looking pretty fine back then. She looks better then the women they got on T.V. today.

Like Vin Rock from Naughty By Nature said, we need more Mr. James Evans in our houses. That way these kids will stay their behinds off the streets yo.

Why did Thelma ask Michael where he got a real dollar? Wasn't she standing there when he said, plain and clear, that he had two dollars saved to go to law school. In fact she was standing right next to him. I have never understood why she asked that

IN THE 70'S--- with a $1.00, I could buy a bag of chips (full bag), 15 cents;16 oz soda 30 cents, a candy bar 15 cents for 60 cents & 25 cents worth of penny candy & still have 15 cents left. Bus fare was 15 cents. pay phone was 10 cents. gas 79cents gallon.
my first apt, I was 19 yrs old in 1983, was 250 month. It was in a Victorian House in Balto, 1 bdroom- walk out terrace, 1 full bath, full kitch; living/dining room-all hrdwd flrs; back yard washer/dryer & of course Central Air.
