The made for TV movie about the PMRC tried to Censor Music in the mid-80's but, all that tey got was a standard warning label. The same warning lable is seen on CD's today and reades Warning: Parental Advisory.

Yeah normally I would be pissed off about the PMRC too but Nikki Sixx once provided the best insight that in reality the PMRC was one of the best things that happened to Rock cause once albums started getting the warning label on them those albums ended up being the ones that sold the most so it kinda backfired on them in the end lol

@Gurra88 Yea, I think that it was the song "These Boots'", which had to be censored. Either way Megadeth got the PMRC back, with "Hook In Mouth"....

Censored as in bleeped out? The first Megadeth album has a cover song, but some of the lyrics were bleeped out to avoid copyright bullshit because the original author didn't want them to cover the song. It's awesome hearing music with bleeps.

They don't even put Advisory stickers on anymore. The CDs I've bought at Wal Mart are all fucking censored. All of them. And the booklets with the lyrics have all of the profanity blacked out. It's bullshit.
