    It would look like crap like all the other 3D animated garbage. I'm glad he was around when actual animation was thriving.

    I'm guessing stop-motion optical printing plus multiple exposures. Making this piece looks like it involved a lot of cutout cardboard stencils and colored gels laid on a projection plate.
