NBA Starting Five 2005

Old PS2 game, released in Japan only.

Not a 'great' game but by far the best Konami bball game and a game that for it's time did some great things that current games have recently copied and some other things that they still haven't matched.

Signature jump shots, dunks, celebrations, facial animation, the best commentary ever in a sports game (audio track is badly compressed in this video).

this did not come out on xbox. the konami ones were not finish. Rasheed Walace was White. There is a disney logo on menu. I thinking getting a ps2 just to play this. id have to order this from japan. will there be english option?

I still play this game today. I even updated the rosters to 2k10-2k11 roster. Also if you put this in HD the characters and the court is unbelievable.  Once you figure out how to shoot three's and free throws this game is very solid and better than many of the 2k series. Darn shame this game could not come out but why would it when 2k5 was 20 bucks? Even Nba live 2005 was destroyed.
