Hitchcock adored blond leading ladies. Tippi Hendren he used twice: "The Birds" and in "Marnie". This score is perfect. Fragile music for a very fragile character, the eponymous Marnie.

In my opinion quite a dissapointment from Herrmann as this theme is ripped note-to-note from a 1955 movie "Rebel Without a Cause" directed by Nicholas Ray.

According to me, Marnie is one of the greatest films realised by A.HITCHCOCK. It's really a masterpiece of art ! The wonderful music written by B.HERRMANN, makes the tragedy lived by Marnie more evident and imposing. It's great ! i LOVE !!!
