There are a few problems people come up with so here are what I think on thoes problems
Religon Problems: don't care
Space Problems: Reproduction will be slowed as our life is expanded and eventaully we will seek other places like the moon, underground, deep sea, space, ect.
Food: Well as we head into the future we will become more like machines, with nanobots, artilficial body parts, we will require less food.

It seems that if you want to live a very long life, then you'll need money/resources in order to do so.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha your pathetic.

@Reido2828 Btw, I don´t feel any need to create a better world.
Maybe in a "better world" I wouldn´t be entertained by such nonsense as yours.
Thanks

@Reido2828 Lol
What kind of incoherent babbling was that?

And they have recently changed the name of the philosophy to Humanity plus. Its basically a world that is post human and changing. It is quite subjective unlike many other faiths. Also technology will help us fight old age problems. Maybe even human nature and we can create a better world.

@Reido2828 Lack of clearly defined terms:
what is "death", what is "life"? What is "human" and "transhuman"?
Without clear definitions you could just as well try to learn how to fly and grow wings...
To me "transhumanism" appears like an half-occult, masonic pseudo-religion, that is more about attracting those nerds who worship technology anyhow than seriously achieving any of the claims.
The only thing I can take for real is transh.´s idea of implementing tech stuff in people´s bodies.Got RFID?

Trash in what way?
-
@Reido2828 Transhumanist Philosophy has not gotten attention simply because it´s trash!

@RingLord3 If you hear God it is maybe time to consult a psychiatrist

There are a variety of ways indefinite life extension could be reached, genetics, bioengineering, through nanotechnology, through stem cells, cryonics, agi, singularity, etc. Genetics and bioengineering are the closest most direct routes. They are 7 known forms of damage that accumulate in our cells and age us to death. There are diseases like them that have already had successes in labs around the world. This means we already know how to work with the damage of aging, it just needs support now.
Your premise about human lifespan is erroneous. Lifespan has undergone negligible change since Gilgamesh. Lifespan is basically the same, statistically most people live longer, due to our ability to overcame disease and etc. Does not mean that that lifespan itself has changed.

@badeacartan To whom are you speaking?

I imagine the question would rely a lot on one's perspective. If you notice, most of the people in this video are privileged upper-class white males. I am sure if you traveled to Ethiopia and posed this question to the suffering masses there, the answers you'd get would be a lot different.

@SerenyLaVesser actually, most of the people in this vid are scientists. privileged is one of the last things i would call them.
also, i have no idea to what this comment is in reply to.... too long since i watched the vid. :)
