Canon 500D/T1i/KissX3 Tutorial Video 22 Part 2- Flash Exposure Variables

Still sticking with the in built flash on the 500D, in this video I cover the variables of flash exposure. Even thought the 500D's built in flash is Automatic (ETTL) its important to still understand exposure fundamentals.

The next video will be out in the field shooting portraits using the in built flash.

Great video, love finding out more things about my 500D. Would you say it is worth me getting a battery grip? What are the advantages and disadvantages. Thank you

@Tech582 The battery grip makes it easier to hand hold larager heavier lens, and allows seemless operation in portrait orientation. I always use the grip due to doing primarily portrait work, it allows me to switch to landscape and portrait orientatin quickly whilst still maintaining control of all camera functions/options.

hi, i shoot some birthday events with the canon 500d on automatic mode with the built in flash. the images arent as sharp, some are blurry.. should  i invest in a speedlight? thankyou
