Singer/songwriter Meg Hutchinson performing "Song for Jeffrey Lucey" - a very powerful song about a solider who returned from Iraq with wounds that were not visible. This song is from her CD "Come Up Full". This was recorded live at The Tin Angel in Philly on December 13, 2008.

Visit http://www.meghutchinson.com for more about this talented artist.

On a side note, this was recorded using the Flip MinoHD camcorder. I posted some other examples of this and you can see them by checking out my other videos.

  • LOL... the wine glass was a total accident. I leaned my video camera against my coffee cut and didn't realize the glass was there. Glad you liked the effect.

This is a heart breaking song and I love how Meg performs it. She somehow makes you feel like you know him.

  • Great version. Great song. Great artist. Thanks for posting.

  • This is a beautiful song. don't feel offended 48Donbray probably Jeffrey might have been real touched, it gets people thinking, all wars are totally disgraceful and him and others all deserve medals. and another medal if they can get them selves back to normality

    It is a beautiful song

  • The man Jefferey Lucey was my best friend. I grew up right down the street with him in Belchertown. His taking his life was one of the biggest challenges that I have ever gone through. I find it nice that she wrote this song for him, but she did not know him at all, and I almost find it offensive....not sure why, but I do. We knew the problems, and tried to help him. His family did soooo much in trying to help him. The VA failed him, and failed his mom, dad, and sisters and girlfriend.

  • very lovely ...

  • Such a heartbreaker. Lovely video too, especially the wine glass! Sets the environment so well, I feel like I'm right back at the Tin Angel!
