Start with your hips low in a squat position. Grip the dumbbell in one hand between your legs. Explode upward through your hips, at the same time using the moment of the movement draw the dumbbell upward with your elbow pointing to the ceiling. As the weight rises duck down in to a squat position and allow your arm to extend and 'catch' the weight with a locked elbow. Lower the wieght under control and repeat.
