I've taken my tapping a stage further.

This version includes the abortive take 44, plus all of take 45. I actually had a perfect take on number 21, but the damned webcam switched my super cool Samson CO1U mic off and decided to use it's inbuilt mic, which made it sound like I was playing under water. After ten minutes of swearing I was focused enough to have another few goes.

Anybody who's watched my other videoes will see a different guitar to the normal one. This is my Squire Telecaster Custom. Despite being 'only' a Squire, it's a rather nice guitar fitted with Seymour Duncan designed P90 pick ups. It just sounded better for this piece than the humbuckers on the Ibanez.

Let me see. Standard tuning, capo on the third fret and for once my non-creak stool didn't creak. The amp is a Fender Blackface, with the usual hint of delay to give it a bit of depth, and if, for any reason you don't like this, I hate you.

  • I like the Gerschwin feel. Will more often to let the melody sink in. Nicely done.
