Rep. Radanovich delivered the following opening statement against Americas Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 during the Energy and Commerce Committee markup of the bill:
Representative Radanovich is dead right. This is an unaffordable, no choice bill that thumbs its nose at individual rights and the free market. The bill does not respect the basic rights of Americans: the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The only so-called "right" this bill recognizes is for some people to receive the thinking and labor of others without even a "thank you" in return. There is only one rational answer to this: NO!
