He was told to change his paper (evidence)
You know "Hubble Law" is cruciel to proving BB? It was the Law that Hubble came up with. Hubble himself in the end wasn't convinced by it. Arp was Hubbles protoge and carried on his research.
If their was solid evidence against Arp's theories why would he be threatened and banned from observing the Universe
His work is finding the truth, why should he let go of it?
There are many others who were forced out for evidence against BB. Why?
-
@MrHayeMekka Your talking about Halton Arp I assume. I doubt there was a "change the evidence" threat. His theory doesn't hold up under the last few decades of cosmological discovery. As I stated earlier.."There are some scientists that do not want to let go of their work" when the evidence is against them. Halton Arp is such a scientist.
It's always worrisome when the religious take the mantle of science. They sooo badly want BB theory to be wrong and latch on to anything

I mean for Example a scientist wrote a paper about how redshift is not a indication of the distance of objects he had solid evidence. The paper was sent back, telling him he must change the evidence or find a new job. he refused and was forced out. His Telescope Observation time slot was taken away so that he could not build on his evidence, and an article was published on how he was a crackpot. Why would u try and stop someone's research and cover up their evidence??
-
@MrHayeMekka What do you mean by "scientists now a days are under pressure to only say what they've been told to say"?
-
@MrHayeMekka I don't agree with that description of science at all. True there are some scientists that do not want to let go of their work but peer review solves that problem. I agree that science doesn't conflict with God. Science isn't in the God business. Science does conflict with religion though.
-
Science is dogmatic, Scientists only looking in one direction and refuse to look in any other cos they refuse to believe the possibility of them being wrong. it has nothing to do with religion.
I like Science and new explanations to how the Universe works, personally i don't see how it conflicts with God. But Scientists now a days are under pressure to only say what they've been told to say. Many have been told to change their evidence or lose their jobs, Thats not real science
-
@MrHayeMekka lol, you didn't. My bad on that. That was somebody else.
The Big Bang is the best explanation yet based on the evidence at hand.
The theory may give way at some point to a better explanation as more data is gained and more discoveries are made. This is how science works. That's ok. I'm not religious about it.
That's the difference between science and religion. Science is progress, religion ends the explanation with God did it.

@cyberprunes When did I ask you to disprove anything??? hmm i thought so... u just went into a conversation of your own without me.
It is interesting, their explanations icluded Dark matter wich can't be seen or proven. and "oh yea the laws of science didn't exist at that time"
I should warn you .Big Bang theory will be disproved soon. Supressed evidence is pilling up and now people are bringin it into the open.
I only spell correctly when writing a paper or doing a test,
-
@MrHayeMekka Learn to spell. It makes you look silly.

@MrHayeMekka The "dragon idea" was in response to you asking me to prove God DOESN'T exist. I was pointing out the folly of that proposition. You can't prove something DOESN'T exist whether it's God,invisible dragons or any other mythical construct. You can't prove a negative. You can't argue for the existence of something (God) by asking someone to disprove it first. Anyway,
according to you, cosmologists are ignorant in the field of science for supporting Big Bang. Interesting.
Ben Stein is a fucking moron.
