Daily Routine

Creativity Project for Literature in Society
Beauty is an interesting word. It is not conventionally defined. It is a very abstract word and therefore I attempt to define what beauty means to me within my daily routine. It means to take the time to look at the world around and see the intense colors and detail that surrounds you no matter what turn is made.

day in and day out a routine can mask the world
wake up. wash up. eat up. and head out for the day
Look around and what do you see?
cars, trees, houses, people. the same ole same ole
now...take a closer look and what do you find?
it could have been an ordinary drive home.
the same door welcoming you back
but you took the time, breathed, and
found the beauty within the daily routine
