HOMEMADE vacuum sealer bags

Hi, i am new to you tube. This is an idea i have on how to create home made vacuum seal bags that are suitable for non food items. This could save you money by reserving the more expensive bags for use only on the food items in your storage program.

Main purpose for these bags is for non food items, but if you had to, you could wrap your food in saran / plastic wrap and then seal it in one of these bags.

Some of my bags i have to double seal. Most of them work fine. This plastic is soft, wait a few seconds before opening the vac machine to let the plastic cool and prevent damage to the seal. The thicker heavy mill plastic works best. With the heavy plastic, you will need to hit the seal button 2 times in the same spot before opening the machine.

Is this only for non food items? I am concerned that not all plastic is foodsafe

Good idea! Those bag rolls are expensive!

Did the seal last? I usually have to double seal mine.
