That's definitely not the noise you'd expect to come out of the back of a Taurus. Sounds sweet mind you
-
The engine isn't 100% Yamaha.

Strangely designed as the Gen 3 Tauruses were, their shape had an amazing way with reduced drag...

@macoombi lol i clicked on this windsheild just bout to ask what tint u had on it and its right here in the comment! im thinkin of gettin 15% also have u ever got pulled over because of it? i want it to be dark but not too dark

Yamaha heads on a Cosworth block, IIRC.
-
is still quicker than most v6's i had a super charged buick regal sport 2 door and it was quick but not as quick as an sho, i did smoke a mitsubishi eclipse and a maonte carlo with my buick but the v8 sho is pretty quick dont even know why they made a v6 sho
-
@macoombi What are your window tints? like what % on the fronbt and rear?
-
WOW sounds niiiice! I have a 1998 SHO It's just like yours in looks except I changed the tail lights to all red. I'm taking the 3rd cat of this week and I thought about adding a cut out in the process. That sounds like a v8 SHOuld. By the way, and macoobi I'm sure you already know this but the engine isnt 100% yamaha nor is it at all a duratech with just "2 more cylinders" that's embarrassing. The block is a Cosworth block cast in the U.S. then sent to yamaha for heads

Sweet sound. And yes, like the SHO V6, the V8 is also a Yamaha.
-
not a yamaha engine
15% all around (except the front windshield of course).

Who cares whether it's 100% Yamaha or not. Yes, the block is basically a 2.5L Duratec with 2 extra cylinders. The block was cast in Windsor, Ontario using the Cosworth casting process and shipped to Yamaha in Japan for assembly.
This video was taken about 5 years ago when the car was somewhat quick (ran a best of 14.8). Now most mid-sized V6's are quicker. It's embarrassing to be slower than a Camry or a V6 RAV4. Moving on to something a bit more modern in the near future.

That was with my Mccord Power Plate (electric cut-out) bypassing stock mufflers, 3rd cat removed and the stock catted y-pipe.
