@shadjazz If you turn your back on your opponent and run there is a good chance that they could run faster than you and stab you in the back.

Your better off running. Cooperative partners, posing, and memorized sequences do not work!

@SuperMcMuffin100 Yes, but that is under the assumption that you are able to get control over their arm. Most knife attackers won't give you their arm or leave their arm hanging out after the stab/slash. They will thrust the knife and quickly pull it back like a jab which is very hard to block. Knife defense tactics should only be used for last resort situations where you are cornered and do not have the option of fleeing.

@mkygod actually you would be wrong alot of self defense tactics for knives are cole the distance as fast as you can and disarm that person even if that means breaking a wrist, elbow, hand of arm. if you keep your distance the can pull the arm in and still hit you with it but if you bear hug them so to speak and disable that arm and free the knife you will be fine watch videos on krav maga you will see

I believe the best knife defense, if you are unarmed, is to basically keep distance and do not engage. Basically, get the hell away. Unless the assailant is really slow or clumsy, you will probably get cut or stabbed a few times before you can wrestle the knife away from him.
