The old music is so musch better, if you think about it these people sold records when most folks didn't have two nickiles to rub together but they would scrape up enough to buy a record

yeah if you judge music on how many hits an artist has in especially in todays screwed up country genre....youre losing out on the best artists....jeannies one of my all time favorites....i don't give a rat's ass where she charted....shes awesome...and willie nelson's version stinks and i know he wrote it....he should stick to smokin pot and writing...hes a great writer

@JJayFin Actually Can I Sleep In Your arms went to number 6, I'll love you more went to 10 and she had a duet with Jack Greene that went to number 2, alright I agree she did'nt burn up the charts, but how often do you ever see Loretta, Dolly or Lynn on the opry at least Jeannie is still Loyal to the show. And that term old timers is not fair to use those old timers are what made country music even though it's gone into complete melt down, Jeannie is way better than taylor swift.

@MyJustified Hits? She had ONE hit (Dont Touch Me) and it wasn't even a #1. She's never had a #1 recording. C'mon .. not like she ever had the career of a Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Lynn Anderson or Tammy Wynette. She had a very modest career as a country artist (in terms of chart action). She's mostly known as one of the Grand Ole Opry old timers.

The "Big E" Buddy Emmons on steel, it just doesn't get any better than this!!!!

Jeannie also wrote one i recently heard from Justin Trevino. Check out "Take One As Needed For Pain."

This is a fantastic example of Country Music at its best. What passes for Country these days is good music, but it's not Country, in my humble opion.
