I still hate Au Revoir Simone

I saw this band open for We Are Scientists last June and hated them then, mostly for their simplistic beats and melodies and their pretentious performing.

I gave them another chance this past Friday, when they opened for Voxtrot, but it was all for naught. Still playing like their songs are some hardcore shit and still banking upon their sex appeal as cute indie pop performers.

i agree the beats are somewhat simple but their words and music is pure poetry and the beat goes well with what they do. and i was just mesmerized during their show and i would maintain they are just a far far cry from the contrived vain indie performers one usually gets to see.

They are nice! And adorable! I saw them open for We Are Scientists too and I thought they were great. Their sound really just calms me down and makes me want to dance at the same time... They're an interesting trio.

You guys really do not know them, and you shouldn't judge them like that. Pretentious they are not, they are just three very talented keyboardists full of innocence. Their show would be nothing without that. Plus they are the nicest bunch you could ever wish to meet.
