That Rayman Jaguar BETA

Finally got the ROM and gave it a whirl in the Virtual Jag, which isn't the best when recording a vid so I apologise for the flickering. I would have included game sound but it sounded like shit while recording so you got a commentary from me instead.

It is possible to get past the Swamps of Forgetfulness [which in this beta is the second level], when playing this in VJ you gotta be careful not to hit left and right at the same time unless you want Rayman to play statue. x:

I'll try and get beyond Band Land in this beta and see what else is there.

hey can anyone help? i downloaded the regular game and tried running it on on Project Tempest and doesn't have any sound. i had this problem with another emulator as well. anyone know where i can get a rom WITH sound?

unfortunately that's nothing to do with the ROM, there are just no Jaguar emulators that will run the game with proper sound right now as they are still underdeveloped.

On Project Tempest, I could only get to the first checkpoint until it would freeze. And did you know about the beta move? I think you press down and B or something. It lets you do a handstand.

It does, but it plays the same tune [one of the Dream Forest ones] throughout, even in Band Land, and VJ doesn't have the best sound emulation.

I had this on the Saturn years ago. I don't think I had the patience for it as a kid, but I wouldn't mind getting it again now. That breakout game was an interesting removal, and it sounds as if the huner with the gun got censored One Piece style..bullets turn to hammers!

You should narrirate more often, too. =)

Ooohh...I want to see more! But I assume that will only happen if VJ gets a savestate option. Or if the beta uses passwords...:/
