What a fucking monster drummer!!!! I saw Sonny at a NAMM show many years ago, he's a living legend. He's has inspired my drumming. He's the king of stick twirlers!!!!

@manginifan - Sonny has his signature twirl off the cymbals....but man I think JoJo Mayer got on that....Then there is Sherman Arnold of the Drum Off fame.....he is insane....yeah Sonny is good wit it....but some cats have taken it the the next, next, next level.

Both Sonny Emory and Omar Hakim are strong groove players. Both are also very technical and musical. And yes, Sonny has a certain amount of showmanship in his playing more the Omar Hakim. They are both great drummers in there own right.
