I bought this very album (which also contained Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue) in early 1963 while visiting relatives on the Main Line outside Philadelphia. I was 12/13 at the time, and still have it--and mine is a little less scratchy than this version! I wonder if it has been recorded since, or if it's available on CD?

This is "Symphony for Blues" by Joseph Kuhn. I had an old record of it by the London Symphony Orchestra; it's VERY hard to find now. Can't imagine why; this is a-m-a-z-i-n-g music....Hey, if you find it, post!

I heard this once ...on the radio in 1962 , when I was 7 . I got my mum to buy it for me , and have never heard it broadcast since . It's a masterpiece !!! Is this on Golden Guinea? Thanks for posting!!
