  • @dmanswish yeah!! it was a cool little place. thanks for checkin' us out Buddy!!☺

  • There's a bar down the street from that used to be an old school house. I think it was last in use as a school around 1967 when the 1st modern school building was built in my municipality that year.

  • @Vinylrecordsneverdie That sounds cool!! I never heard of an old school house being turned into a bar!!☺

  • @805ROADKING yeah that does sound pretty cool. In the next city near me an old trucking terminal was turned into a bar called the terminal.

  • @craig1974 that's cool!! i've heard of an old Church turned into a tittie bar once, but that was back in the 70's. i don't know if they could do that today!!☺

  • @805ROADKING Hey you're welcome!

  • @805ROADKING That's an idea. If she taught before she was married, they may have those records. I don't know her married name. My grandmother missed going to one of these by one year. She went to the school in Emmaus Junction the year it opened. The school she would have attended became Keck's Sunday School.

  • @userunavailable3095 Try calling the phone number on the sign in the video, they might have some info on who taught there. There probably weren't that many. Each teacher probably did a 20-30 year stint.

  • @805ROADKING I wish I could remember which school she taught. I doubt there is any way to find that information. Grandma spent her last years at Moravian Hall Square, which is only a couple of miles from this little school. It was in those last years that she showed me the little school where her aunt had taught, and it may well have been this one. I remember her showing me one near Hawk Mountain as well, which was near the church that she'd attended with her grandparents.
