A State of Trance End of Year Vote 2009

It's that time of year again when we vote for our favorite tracks that we heard on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show. In this episode, Armin compiles the 20 most voted for tunes via www.arminvanbuuren.net and presents them to us in his annual Top 20 Countdown.

For many, including me, this is the episode that we all wait for. Like it or not, it reflects the biggest and the best for this year in trance. Of course, the democratic process does not work without us, the listeners. This is why it is important that you vote for YOUR five favorite tunes that you heard over the course of the year on ASOT. Also, you get the chance to vote for what DJs you would like to see spin at ASOT 450.

Keep in mind that some of your favorite trance tunes may not have been played this year in an ASOT episode, which is why you should think of more than five tunes to vote for. For example, Armin never got the chance to play The World To Come by Reconceal and Andy Blueman in any regular ASOT episode, which means I was unable to vote for this tune.

And to be completely honest, I believe Andy Blueman COMPLETELY dominated this year out of all the producers this year!!!! Like literally EVERY single tune he produced or remixed this year was just pure gold!! He is my by far my favorite this year. Yay! :)

Definititvely my favorite 2009 trance song is Kaleidoscope of Tiesto, which is not a candidate for obious reasons. IT IS SUCH A CHOON!!!, no like all the rest of trance songs, but with the special unstyled style of tiesto. AWESOME....my fav. Oh, WHEN LISTENED AT LIVE OH MY GOD....

I think the way they have it set up works fine. From what I understand, the votes for each mix are counted as one for the single tune, and the remix with the most votes will be the one played should it have enough votes to make it in the top 20. For example, the 3 tuvan remixes (blueman, emery, orig) are all counted together as one. Whichever mix got the most votes would get played if it made the top 20.
